Hello from Scotland

Post by Captain Hilts »

Hi everybody ,I'm new to tanks , having owned mine from the summer ,its the torro metal edition in the ammo box with the BB recoil unit, I started buying photoetch clamps and tools to make it a bit more realistic. Now I'm hooked and have a box full of upgrades . Trouble is I stopped making the photo etch when I upgraded to IBU 3 and every spare minute I have now (which isn't a lot) is spent trying to sort that out, before I return to the looks . I'm hoping to move the turret add the mods and repaint. So I will have a lot of questions. I think Ian from rctankelectronics has had enough of me as I'm on my second ibu3 unit and transmitter (faulty) not my fault honest ,and I'm still having trouble . anyway ill try and post photos now and merry Christmas and happy new year when it comes

Welcome from the Highlands ( Though I'm away from home for a wee while during Xmas and Hogmanay..). Looks like you've made an enterprising start with that Tiger. The evident attention to detail so early on, as well as the urge to acquire upgrades can only mean one thing: .......you're already irretrievably h o o k e d. :haha:
Welcome to the new-but sort of creative- addiction.

Thanks for the welcome 43rdRecceReg. Yes for sure I'm hooked  the wife doesn't know what I'm spending on this  but she is used to my obsessions with the house full of diecasts and toys and other rc models , so I might just get away with another tank or 2 ,ahem, although I'm new to tanks I'm hoping the good folk of this forum will help me out and I can learn from there many skills, there are a few excellent projects on this forum I want to learn from and hopefully end up with a cracking wee tiger.
