Here is a general question about the exhaust system on these tanks. There are some pictures of the jagdtiger and King Tiger with rear exhaust system metal Shields similar to the tiger I. It looks like they could be made with thin sheet metal or brass.

I'm building a king tiger and a jagdtiger and wanted something different.
I'm wondering if they can be made with a 3D printer?
Does anyone have experience building a tank with these shields and if so what did you make them out of or can they be purchased somewhere?
I would say making them out of thin sheet brass would be a simple task really.
Bear in mind the pictures are of an early Porsche suspension version, not a 'normal production Henschel.
I can only assume the early versions had extra fittings & such that were dropped from the major production units.
Yes Mr Herman I see your point. I have also seen early Porsche turret king tigers with identical exhaust stacks and shielding as an early tiger I. I think I might tackle these in sheet brass. I have another king tiger with the large exhaust stacks from a Jagdpanther fitted... Oh so many ideas and projects so little time. Any more progress on your jagdtiger? Have you finally sourced the electronics
The only King Tiger I have seen pics of with the full shroud exhausts is the one that was sent to Sweden post war.
The shrouds were placed on their sides instead of up& down like on a Panther !!
I will try & find the picture.
No idea why they would not have fitted those full elbow shrouds on every machine at that build time ??
As for my JT, its stalled, but at least now I have a solution.
After this thing they call the festering season (well I do anyway) is over I can get the bits I need & get on with it.
