snow leopard / pershing barel too short ????

Post by mcevoyi »

hi all

did a market in bristol yesterday and got me another pershing ... buldog and a pzr4 .... dirt cheap ... all smoke / sound £35 each .. the chap i got them feom said that hl are also doing a panther too .. thats right panther ... not jagdpanther .. but panther ???? as he is a bit of a collector too

any way ... the pershing ..... has any one worked out how short the gun barel is ... i keep looking at it and it looks way to stubby ...

and has any one produced the solid sprocket wheel fitted to later m-26's... not the one supplyed on the model looks like a paper doiley...

hi there mat

the chap in bristol .. is a very very well switched on modeler ... he knows the difference between the crap pantinger and a panther he is a real track head and a fantastic ref libary of books .....and i nab them for projects from time to time ....

also think about it form hl point of view/// pick a chassis and bang out as may veriations as you can in an effort to keep the cost down and the profits up  .like dragon and there endless rehash of there armour kits
i dont think dragon have actualy produced a ' new new ' kit for 6 years in 1/35....some say its been longer than that ....

so i guess hl will do the same ... panzer 3 .. followed by stugs ... and panzer 4 followed buy burmber ( torro )   .. and stugs ..... kingtiger and the soon to be hunting tiger ..... thiger and ,..strumtiger

sherman ..... and the endless versions of that .....

as for a new rc tank ..... i keep hearing that tamiya are to do the m1 ..ho joy ....not ......... and maybe the chally 2 .....now i am interested ........ but you will not get change out of 1k .....

Iain,  the photo in Antics' on-line shop is misleading.  It isn't a Heng Long but a 1/72 scale die cast Dragon Armor model (#60038), HL don't make a JP with side skirts and zimmerit.
