hello everyone. i have just got a tamiya panther from evilbay.it is built and painted but not very well . i will need to strip it right down, put some stuff right an then rebuild and re paint it. what i am looking for is few spare parts and in particular the plastic parts that are directly behind the mantlet that pivot to allow the barrel to raise and lower. so does any body on here either have spares that they are willing to part with or know of a source for such parts.
cheers
glyn

Yes, Axel's Modelbau is a great place to get stuff but you might also need a goldmine to pay for it!

Hi Glyn
Yep, I did, and it was a bargain. £300 for a Tamiya Panther with RC gear, fast charger, battery and combat system. I've already started to rip it apart as it wasn't very well put together. I'm thinking of buying a HL Jagdpanther hull top and fitting it to the Tamiya bottom.
I think he still has another Panther for sale. Anyone looking for a similar bargain should take a look on e-bay.

not very well put together is an under statement ! mine had a 3 inch wood screw thru the front of the mantlet holding everything in place ! oh well at least I will enjoy the challenge of putting evrything right . The seller said he had another panther left and he showed me a pershing which looked ok.
Anybody looking for a bargain Tamiya should look for mad_dison as an ebay seller

3 inch screw? Jeez, mine was nowhere near as bad as that. He had bolted on the recoil mechanism though, which was a pain to remove. But at that price you expect a bit of hassle I suppose.percy1510 wrote: not very well put together is an under statement ! mine had a 3 inch wood screw thru the front of the mantlet holding everything in place !
