Jeez thats a massive call mate !
There are days when I regret doing the doing & not just doing the buying !
It will always be a Matorro and imperfect to match, but as long as it looks close enough to what Im after, then thats going to be fine.

My visiting Taigen Tiger is unable to visit tomorrow, so I wont be able to energise the recoil unit and set the barrel into forward battery, or test the elevation, so Ive got to wait a bit longer to check that.

Ive amused myself building & painting the drum and jerry can set that I got hold of and that has been a very good learning curve for scratching & denting. They turned out ok I reckon.
Still have two grey jerry cans to start.
Got another wash to apply now they have all been sealed, so will be about right after that.

Yes Sir, the Torro is a top line product. Mine although now considered a collectable, is very inaccurate out of the box.
Short of starting from flat sheet, altering this to get an example of a Jagtiger is a better alternative for me !

They also make a King Tiger which is equally as rare.

6 down, 30 to go :/
I would normally use the burner & screwdriver to do these, but as I have a coat of putty, the usual melt technique does not work well.

Any luck with the electronics yet?

That drawing of the "loader" is quite interesting Image
Thanks Mr Rainford, its all about the challenge. Putting lipstick on a pig as its said.
The electronics are still a work in progress, and I did hope to test my Taigen recoil system out today, but the guy that owns the Tiger has been working 6 day weeks for almost 4 months now and he and his Mrs are reduced to casual surprise encounters on their way in & out the house(he works nights- she days) so any chance that have to say hi & get to know each other from pictures & memories is taken as I can perfectly understand.

The loader !...........yes, well that was a bit of a find :shifty:
Ok, she can clearly handle the '75s of a Panther, but I reckon the 128mm work will have her looking less than pristine :haha:

Too funny Mr Herman. very curious to see how that wiring goes once you get hold of the elusive Taigen tank. Maybe if you get a "pair" of loaders they can help each other out....lol

Trust me Mr Rainford................if I managed to get a pair of those loaders, I could think of a much better way they could help each other out :shh: :shifty:

As for the wiring, this is the first time I have been held up for electronics, but I need to temper myself & remember its not a race & I need to go through certain challenges to get what I want.
............................. Hmm, yeah, I will keep telling myself that until it works. :/

Its going to be a good representation of a late war Jagdtiger, should run well, and be a happy compromise from a fundamentally awful donor tank without the 'already done' expense of a Torro(which are bloody nice I must say)
So, the mission continues ;)

Glad you have patience !!
Tonight I basically cleaned up the workstation, watched cricket and reduced the MG aperture.
Its still a bit "Mr Blobby" but that will soon be sorted once dry & I can sand it back to a better profile, and stipple a texture onto it.
