Hi guys.
Ive just received a new Torro Tiger 1. 2.4GHz but the transmitter is a bit naff.
I want to know if i can use one of my old 2.4GHz hand sets.
One is a JR 9x2 transmitter with a Spektrum DSM2 module. the other is a Spektrum DX4S car transmitter.
Thanks
Adrian

Re: Radio Gear
Your 9x2 should work fine but you'll need to upgrade the tanks electrics, lots of after market control boards out there, ibu2, ibu3, Clark tk 22, 24 and 60, asp2, el mod fusion, etc etc
Re: Radio Gear
Thanks for the info.
Why do I have to upgrade?

Re: Radio Gear
As I understand it, the Torro board combines the receiver with the controlling electronics, and as such will only work with a Torro transmitter. If you wish to change the transmitter, then you have to fit a matching receiver. Thi will not work with the original board, ergo you have to upgrade the control board.

Re: Radio Gear
Torro electrics are proprietary and don't allow use of hobby grade radios like yours, just the set they come with.gisalook wrote:Thanks for the info.
