With IBU3 you don't need the 9x with tanker software it works with any radio set.csdnet wrote:maxmekker, I certainly have, the asp board certainly does seem very appealing, however the IBU3 is catching my eye a little more, so I'm thinking maybe a IBU3 + 9x with tanker software????? Will sit on it for a few days![]()
Thanks to everyone who gave advice, it was all very much appreciated, so glad I joined this awsome community.

Re: Which Electronics????
hi i know this isnt new, but I am to this and did a search first. I have never done tank stuff before, I bought a Torro King Tiger metal version and the thing never turned both way correctly. I went thru a few gearboxes so finally ordered that clutched box from DKLM, but i need a new board to contrl that type, so I orderd a IBU3 also, can you tell me what radio will be easiest to work with? i also spent some money on a TARR smoker and metal ring gears ans recoil but I realize that will be a huge process, I just want to be able to get it working like it should have from the start. this clutched gearbox claims that itll fix any difference in drag, or overcome it i guess. thanks for any info

First off, congratz on some great uppgrades for Your tank.
I use those gearboxes ( and sell some of them to ) my self.
as for radio, I use anything from the cheap hobbyking 4-6ch radio and turnigy , and now I just bought a FS-i6S 10CH to try out on my IBU3 and Clark TK 60
On the Ibu3 you use the pc software setup to assign buttons and stick movements , so any radio should be easy to setup
Here you have a few Clips of my jagdtiger ( pritty much same as Your KT) Running the PDSGB Gearbox and Clark/IBU
