Aber King Tiger Gun Barrel

Hello Fellow Tankers

Have a question for the brain trust that resides in such numbers here:

Does the Aber King Tiger gun barrel fit with the Tamiya King Tiger mantlet? I'm looking to marry the front section of the Tamiya Henschel mantlet (the part with the bolts) to a scratch made elongated Panther F mantlet in hopes of making it into an 8.8cm gun turret.

If you go to the Aber website, you can download the instruction sheets for any of their products. To save you the problem, this is the link for the Tiger B barrel, which I assume is what you are referring to.http://www.aber.net.pl/upload/pdf/In16_ ... m_late.pdf Hopefully it will give you sufficient information. It is my impression that most of their 1/16 PE sets are intended for Tamiya kits, but no doubt someone else can confirm this.

It was my understanding too that the Aber pieces would generally work with Tamiya and Trumpeter 1/16 tanks. I was hoping to confirm whether the outer diameter of the Aber gun barrel would fit properly in the inner diameter of the Tamiya mantlet.
