Hello from Texas

Post by ChronologicalOrder »

I have been into radio control tanks since my parents gave me the Radio Controlled Sherman Tank by Radio Shack when I was a kid.

Both as a job and a hobby, I work with CAD and 3D Printing, and I have recently gotten into personal CNC milling and benchtop plastic injection molding. My hobby efforts in all of these areas are currently directed to attempting conversions of some pieces to their engineering variants and scratch building some pieces not currently available.

My collection runs toward modern including:
  • Tamiya 1/16 Leopard 2 A6
  • Heng Long 1/16 M1A2 Abrams
  • Heng Long 1/16 Challenger II
  • VsTank 1/24 M1A2 Abrams
  • VsTank 1/24 Leopard 2 A6

Sounds like you'll be a great asset here, then..especially if someone says: "Houston, we have a problem.." (Though it was actually.."we've had a problem here"..!). Welcome, anyway.
If you're 'Chronological Order' on the Forum, then Spartan Tracks (a member there) is definitely an example of 'Spatial Order' (OCD wise :haha: ).. It should be a winning combination!!

Welcome along Pal, I have visited Texas quite a few times, LOVE Sugarland................
A memorable trip ws driving a GT Mustang from Enid Oklahoma to Dallas, stopping in at Texas Motor Speedway, and getting some of the best Pit BBQ ever on the way.
I would say brace yourself for a load of messages from locals about custom making bits for them !!
Good to have you along from the Land of the Lone Star

Welcome to the forum

That was my first RC tank too. Those things were great and I still have mine somewhere.

Thank you all for the welcomes.

I apologize for not replying sooner. I had been out of town since the 5th for Autodesk Fusion 360 and CNC Milling training.
