Smartypants

Can you imagine the embarrassment I had to suffer that day, pretending that Andy was my responsible adult???? :/

I'm glad it wasn't me. I might be old, but I'm not yet in need of a carer. ;D I did notice, you kept away from the ticketing as much as possible. :)

Although the ticket was worth entry for a whole year, I decided I only needed the top half. So cut off the bottom to use as a poster on my cardboard barn!!!!

Will be good to see you there, I reckon we will need the heating on

It doesn't look like anything short of a miracle is going make my house move happen by the 18th, so I'll be there come what may. :P

Hi Kevin

The board is a Benedini. A quick search on the forum will produce numerous discussions on them. The cheapest way of getting a Chinese copy is here

http://www.banggood.com/Sound-Unit-for- ... 97656.html

They also do an amplifier.
To program the board with tank sounds you will also require an additional unit.

This is where cost effectiveness comes into play. By the time you have bought those three items you are probably looking at the £60 mark? For around £10 more you can get a Clark TK22 that will give you all the tank sounds, full IR battle functionality and a whole host of other programmable options. It's all on one board and very easy to install. Just unplug the RX18, take the RX18 out of the tank, pop the TK22 into the bottom half of the case, plug it all back in, and you are away.

The one that the Chinese site sells is the 'micro' version of the Benedini board, not the 'mini' version, which is larger. There are differences between the two. You can link the micro board to a TK22, to change the engine sounds.
