Its status seems to vary depending where you are. 1 report site says it is still down, another says its back up, yet another says the site is up but the software to access photo is not working. Photobucket says the maintenance window has been extended. There is a large number of very unhappy people out there. One person has lost one third of their photos. Many more have stated their intention of finding other sites. Not looking too good.

Hopefully, the site will be back soon and your photos will be safe. Personally, I have never trusted any of my photos to any form of cloud storage, and there are over 50,000 of them. Instead, I bought a large network drive plus another large external hard drive and my photos are duplicated on both drives. Not cheap, but it gives me peace of mind.

Luckily I only have a few on there, 99% of mine are on my pc , and all of the pics on my phone are on my PC as well. Interestingly I had a message from pb saying that I should upgrade my account to keep my pics safe, but I ignored it.
