Can this be repaired PANTIGER

Post by STEWART763 »

I hope this is in the right section Help please :{

a while ago I bought this PANTIGER for £30 it has a broken barrel my question is

should there be some sort of rubber grommet or seal where the parts join.
I have tried to use super glue to hold it on those broken arms
but it did not take :(

also it just throws 2 or 3 BBs out about 2 inches :{

Good morning,
This can be repaired by drilling and pinning the mantlet in place with a good two part epoxy. Your best bet is buying the mantlet and outer barrel new along with the rubber sleeve that goes on the end of the aluminum inner barrel. These parts can usually be found on EBAY or from a site that sells tanks and parts for HL like MATO Mart.

You will probably find the rubber grommet inside the airsoft unit. You can split it in half by removing the screws to retrieve the grommet. It then needs to be replaced on the end of the alloy tube before reassembly. Without the grommet you won't get an airtight seal, and that's why there is a lack of air pressure to fire the bb's.

The problem is getting the mantlet glued back on, you could try using epoxy for strength on the larger areas, with a dab of superglue to hold it in place while the epoxy cures.

Hi
You could also get some 2mm plastic card and remanufacture the two side arms and then glue them in place with "Plasticweld" its a liquid glue that literately melds and fuses the plastic together just like welding metal. most model shops sell it and the card.
opp's you said get off the road
