Airbrushing kits

I am looking to buy an airbrush kit, what are you guys using, and any recommendations, are welcome.
I am a novice so nothing above £200.00. please .

I bought a cheap kit with two airbrushes and a compressor from Aldi. That started me off for 12 months of experimenting. The needles and other gear were quite good and straight, and it had an 'average' feel in the dual action trigger. After the twelve months the seals began to fail, so I bought an Iwata 0.5mm, which is top quality and is easy to get spares. The cheap Chinese compressor is still going strong. I think I made the right choices and I even had the owner of a big independent hobby store ask me why I wanted an Iwata - the cheap Chinese stuff is pretty reasonable quality, just don't buy stuff with no name at all.

Unless you want to airbrush fine detail on faces, you probably won't need to go down to 0.2-0.3mm, for 1/16 scale tanks you would like to have 0.5mm or it will take forever.

A water trap on your compressor is a must too.

You do get what you pay for, but the cheap stuff is usually better than you think unless you're unlucky.

I use a Chinese AB-200 from Everything Airbrush, cheap, and lasted about 8 years, so when I couldn't be bothered with buying a new needle etc, I just went and bought another one. I do abuse them, but it has to be said that they give excellent results. The compressor is an Ebay jobbie, this is also my second, the first gave up the ghost after about 5 years.

I also use a cheap airbrush £15.99 from E-bay stainless steel body and cup 0.2, 0.3 & 0.5 needles with it, and comes in a nice plastic storage case and a cheap diaphram compressor had it for over 6 years now and its still going strong.
The tip I was given is look after it ie. a good full clean after use and then just lots of practice using it. (I bought a box of kiddys toys from a carboot sale and practiced on them).
My tanks are not perfect but I have been told the results are just as good as some that are done with mega exspensive airbrushes.
I was lucky in that an artist friend has a few airbrushes and let me try them for size and found that some felt good and comfortable in my hand but some felt really awkward. So again if you can try some out for what feels good to you then that will also help you in your hunt for an airbrush.

I was going to get my first airbrush kit and found the same set up on eBay which seemed the best deal and I saw on other forums that the AS 186 is very good to start with..£70 with 3 airbrushes.....so would y'all say it's a good buy to get me into painting as a compleate novice....thanks

Infact I found this one for £77 with 3 airbrushes....I was going to commit to buying this....is it worth the extra over the .£69.90 one

I'm not familiar with this kit, but at least it gets you a compressor and two different types of airbrush to try, without breaking the bank. You can at least try them out.
I notice both of the airbrushes are either a side cup or a bottom cup for the paint, the other type is a top cup (my preference). so for an extra £15 to £20 you could try one of them at a later date as well.
A quick tip I was given is to get a Spring Soldering Iron Stand for my bench so that when I'm not using the airbrush it just goes into the stand (like a soldering Iron would) and the airbrush is kept upright and safe.
