Hi All,

The name's Steve, I'm 58 years old and hail from Milton Keynes. Been modelling on and off for most of my life and have recently bought myself a Heng Long 1/16th Scale Tiger 1 with the 2.4 GH remote control and metal gears and tracks. Looking to add lots of after market parts but fear this is ultimately gonna cost me more that if I had bought an full metal version in the first place! Hey Ho - at least I'm learning lots of new skills - especially the art of soldering.

I've come across a couple of problems but will post these on the site later - I hope you guys out there will be able to assist.

Really loving working in 1/16 scale and its good to make something highly detailed that actually does something!

Welcome Steve, it is heartwarming to see someone has acknowledged that their pockets are going to resemble a shrapnel riddled pair of y fronts as a result of getting into this hobby. :S

The good news is that you will be able to save oodles of your hard earned cash by asking for diy tips and advice on the forum.

Hi Steve, Welcome to the Forum
I don't know if you are aware of or even care that HENG LONG/TORRO and TAIGEN have built in errors on the exterior of the Tiger 1 TANK Body,
If you care we will tell you how to sort them out (They are easy fixes) If you don't Then enjoy.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
