Re: MODEL SHOWS
I'm a little confused Rob, there hasn't been a Model Expo since 2005 at the NEC (2006 was on the cards, but a take over of the management company stopped that) and the Bovie Model Expo was nothing to do with the NEC Model Expo, I've not seen anything about a Model Expo at the NEC, do you have details?fv432 wrote: normally go to the model expo which should have been at bovvie this year but they brought it forward a month and moved it to the NEC :-\ :-\ :-[ :-[

Re: MODEL SHOWS
Rob you got me all excited when you mentioned a NEC Model Expo, we did that twice 2004, 2005 and 2006 would have been the UKTC time to shine as we where to be center stage with a budget provided by the NEC, real shame as the new owners decided that there was no money in modelling of any type or scale
and just to put the icing on the cake the Warwickshire Model Expo packed up because of the presure of the NEC Model Expo, crazy world we live in.

Re: MODEL SHOWS
Unfortunately the Bovy one wasn't the organiser really, it was Bovy getting greedy not only did they get a fee, the enterance money and obviously people used their gift shop and cafe, but they wanted some if not all of the table money, too. Bloke gave up, can't say I blame him. Again a shame cracking show, mind you Yeovilton have taken some of the slack by upgrading it kids model event to the full one Model Expo and thats twice a year, strangley enough this weekend.
