HAYA's M3 Grant.

Post by jarndice »

It is probably my old age but I have just noticed that instead of selling the M3 Grant as a kit ---
http://www.hayaltd.co.uk
are now selling it as ready to run for £270,
The kit is still available for £250,
Great news for the lazy !!
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I was told the price for the resin kit was hiked up as he had none left, will be lowered when he has stock. Not the best practice as to many looks like a price hike, but hey ho

I was thinking about buying one of the complete tanks, but he hiked the price up to over £360 so I bought something else. At least he seems to have brought the price down to a more sensible level. If it was because of low stock, then I'm with Tom - it's a bad way to do business. It makes it look a bit like an attempt to rip people off.

I got one of the kits as I'm (very very slowly) adjusting the bogeys and adding some bits to the outside.

As a warning/comment the front mud guards and turret gun are fragile. The former is a job for when I start adjusting the lower hull & gluing things.

He has put up his prices, and maybe his cost have gone up. ??? He will see his stock not moving. 8O

Remember there are plenty of Good Traders on the NET.

You decide, from whom you purchase your Tanks and accessories From.
It was more that prices had doubled over night, but as I was trying to say I think it's just because he has no stock and wants to leave the listing up.

I did not say he was ripping people off - I said it made it look like that. Also, so far as I am aware, Haya is the only firm selling the Grant. The alternative tank that I bought was bought from him anyway.

If it's the hatch over the BB filler mine was porous. Not sure casting it in resin was the best approach for something of that aspect ratio.

It's a good kit - only thing that needs an upgrade is the 37mm gun. But equally not sure metal would be much stronger or not silly money. Another possible would be if the rear deck (under the lockers) had rivets on it? If so maybe supply the kit with the lockers separate?

Have you had any issues with the front lamp electrics interfering (fit) with the lower hull?

Might even have cracked the bogey modifications, if I have I might even post some pics.
