Great work. I'm just starting to get a glimpse of how much work that takes. I see some of the kits I have in your photos and you've given me some ideas. Still a long way to go!

So what kind of camera are you using? I'm a total newbie in that hobby, and so far I've worked my way up to the Canon rebel T5 but I still don't understand at least half of it. :problem:

I don't know the Canon T5 , but if you can, adjust the aperture setting (f number) to give you a greater depth of field. The larger the f number the greater the depth of field. Also a wide angle will give greater depth of field. This will mean that more of your photo is in focus. The only drawback is that you will have a lower shutter speed. I would also suggest turning off the auto focus and doing it yourself. You should have a preview button which will give you an idea of what is and is not sharp. With your photo above, IMHO, it would look better with the man on the horse as your focal point.

More like this?

I am using manual focus, and while I still have a lot to learn I'm getting there. The T5 has different effect settings (portrait, sports, landscape, etc) and they can produce some interesting shots, as can the sepia tones. Usually with a set-up like this I'll take a whole bunch of photos using different settings and then sort them out later.

Yup, a good piece of kit, all the pics I take are with my iphone 6 camera including those of my railway which have appeared in numerous magazines.
I do use a mini tripod for some of my shots too.

The only time I use a more sophisticated camera is for night shots where you need a much longer exposure, tripod is essential for that to keep everything rock steady.

 Black and White or sepia always impress, and give that air of authenticity. Overall, it's a fine collection and tastefully arranged  Mind you, if I were one of the 'little people' under a wee mushroom, I'd be filling my pants!! :haha: ..as that's quite a fearsome sight.
