Verlinden is no more...

Post by dgsselkirk »

A Very sad day. I just learned that Verlinden has closed it's doors and all the masters and molds have been destroyed.... :'( :'( :'(

I have used this mans product from the 80's. He truly was a master and made some of the best figures and kits around. Start scooping up ebay kits guys, they will never be produced again! :'( :'( :'(

What a real shame. I am currently slowly assembling his German Tank crew kit. Real quality mouldings. It is a loss that the moulds have been destroyed, but I think I can understand - having put his name to such quality, there would be an unwillingness for that reputation to be damaged by someone not taking such care.

All I can say is that if any of you guys have pristine originals then it would be great to see someone making moulds and producing them.
