HL Jagdpanther and a quick paint job

Post by wibblywobbly »

Just a few pics of my Jagdpanther, standard HL with high intensity muzzle flash, IR battle system, metal tracks and sprockets. It has to be said that this is a really nice model, the quality is excellent and everything fits with precision.
The added bonus is that the accessories come in a seperate bag, which makes painting very easy.

Ok, what did I do?

Nothing special, hand painted the tools using aluminium, dark grey, burnt umber, and brown. Hand painted the hull using dark olive green, burnt umber. Hand painted the wheels using aluminium, dark olive green and burnt umber. Hand painted the tracks using matt black, burnt umber and earth.

As you can see, it was desert yellow when I started.

I then airbrushed the whole thing with earth  to give it that dusty look. Still a bit more to do, but the bulk of the job is done.

Yes it is a very nice effort from Heng Long.  I like the damaged front fender.  Adds interest to the model.

I thought the lighting looked mean 'n moody. : )
I will take another pic in daylight now that I have run over it with the weathering powders.

looks very nice, looking forward to seeing the pics of it with the weathering powder finish.
I must say like the others HL seem to have upped their act with this model and it really does look the mean mother that it was. :D
