New M3 Grant tank.

Post by wadsworthj »

Hi can anyone throw any more light on the new Grant M3 tank being sold bt Tankzone/ Haya.
The adverts give little away to justify the price.
It looks as if one will get a basic h/l base with a plastic top of the grant 3, + 2.4/metal tracks etc.
Ay advice will help me make up my mind as to wether this will be a good se of my pension.
Cheers Wads. :S :S :S :S

Hi, Wads, If you type "M3 Lee/Grant" into the search box I think your question gets answered by the different replies.

It's a resin upper that fits the HL hull. BB & elevation on the 75mm & turret rotates & has the warning light for the BB.

I bought one of the last batch for about £90, I think he put the price up as stock ran low.

If you get the kit you need to modify the gear boxes to make it fit & paint (Andrew sent me pictures and I'll repost if I ever put a build thread up). Casting is good quality, with only a few bubbles etc. Mud guards are VERY fragile and I need to glue mine back together. It's taken a month to start altering a bogey so don't hold your breath.....

I did think about one, till the price went screaming up. :'( It is unique, though, to my mind, expensive at the current price.

Wow I didn't realised the price has doubled! Maybe it's because he's out of stock
