emitter range problems
Just wondering if anybody has had emitter range problems with recent clark boards , I'm a big clark fan but recently ran into issues , with either emitter burning out or bad range, inside the house I have to drive up 10 to 15 feet to make a hit , outside in daylight, I basically have to drive on top of you , lol , I've tried everything, emitter changes , wiring , test emitters with 940 bulb and the blue bulbs , wire connection, voltage at emitter , 1.5 minimum , changing boards from one tank to another with different apple or mushroom setups, henglong, hammerhead , impact , also change of batteries from ni h to lipos, just wondering if anybody has had same problem , any help would be appreciated , thanks
Re: emitter range problems
I find battling clark boards to be hit and miss (no pun intended) I either got a really good board or got one that didn't work correctly weirdly it's only the emitter I've had problems with I'd change the board for a spare and it'd battle great

Re: emitter range problems
Upon some good research and testing over last couple weeks , I've found some interesting things about the tk22 board and emitters
Im sure most of you know most of the info I'll be saying , but here it is
there are different quality emitter bulbs available that make a huge difference on range
, they do make different volt and amp range
, jumping the resistor on tk22 board didn't make a difference
, the emitter range weakens as the board warms up due to the speaker amp ( the black box underneath emitter plug and resistor, which gets extremely hot
, a cooling fan under the board instead of over the top of it makes a ton of difference , keeping the range and controls consistent thruout a 20 min battle , especially playing outside in the heat
, found that the Clarks are hit and miss on strength as posted by stug 85 earlier
, now the question is , does the apple setup have any difference on firing range ?
, as a newbie I'm learning real fast on the problems of electronic rc equipment , this stuff might be old to the experience guys , more input and info would be greatly appreciated , thanks jughead
