STEWART, if your looking to buy the tiger top just be careful, the newer tank tops have a two screw fixing at the front yours looks like it only has the one,

thank you I have just bought and it's getting delivered on Thursday at our local Argos :)
it will look good standing beside my brand new smaller TIGER 1 that I bought 2 weeks ago :(
before I found this forum :)

I'll probably give the £30ty one to my 10 year old grandson its not top notch but he will enjoy it and now.
I know that there's no sound unit in there and have removed all the screws from under the top section I can get it to bit's easy
should he brake some thing

i would like to get the tx unit sorted out the boy who broke it 2 days after Christmas
also broke the right side control universal in one place ( they never said it was goosed)
I'm sure that's why i's not running very good

yes old Man :D Jamie is right, it's hopefully saving me £9 postage, ;) mind you I could have bought it from Nitroteck it cost about £10 more from them that's where I bought the smaller one that some folks said would be better sending back,
they say on or after Thursday the 25th so I can handle that I could have bought one just up the road,
in Chester Le Street for £119 that's throwing money away and as folks like to tell me including Christine, :silent:
stop spending just before I go :wave:
I would like to know if there's any where to buy the right hand control unit for the TX there's a broken bit
on the lever in side that makes the Tank turn :{ Bearing in mind it was a bannger when I paid my £30 :{

all this could be a duff battery it was not used for a few years :{

thank you both for that bit of info ;)
Before I get into trouble again can I say what I'm saying in this section :{ :{
I was thinking about looking for a sec hand Tiger that way I would have spares should I brake some thing :{

this is going to sound silly there's 2 Tigers on evilbay that I'm looking at and that could solve lots of problems but I'm also thinking buy a HL new Tiger and be done with it with or with out metal this and that :)

o- So do I buy a £80+ from Nitroteck or some where else that could be cheaper

I now know that there's some thing wrong with the £30 cheepy it's dose not like to turn L/R :{

as for the PAN TIGER I found a spring in the TX unit any one like to say where it goes it might be the reason the tank is not turning to good

or the Carpet is the problem

Stewart
That spring probably goes on some hook-like piece of plastic on the gymbal in the TX. It looks like a long fish-hook, and makes the stick center itself. looks a bit like this: --______--_- where the long bit is in the middle where the stick is when centered.

Bad turning is a quality that most Tigers and Panthers with the broad tracks share. Even in real-life they were infamous for that. Just too much resistance. Try it on laminate, or some other smooth, hard surface. If it still turns badly, it could be that the motors are at the end of their life.

The new-gen Heng Longs all come with the latest 2.4 ghz tx and receiver sets, I believe. Only Torro still offers some 27mc sets. If there's a 27mhz TX RX combi in the tank ,it is a run-out number. The cán be obtained very cheap, that's the advantage, and some are still Infrared Battle equipped (only Heng Long IR, sadly. it doesn't talk to Tamiya battle unists, ór Taigen units)

To have at least sóme fun with Your Tank, I'd suggest buying a cheap Heng Long 27mhz set. They are dead-cheap now, and all come with smoke & sound.

Ok, so its the Pantiger. HL's novel idea of crossing a Panther with a Tiger. To do so they used the Tiger 1 lower hull and created a Panther upper hull to fit onto it. It was never actually manufactured in the real world, but then again neither were many of what are termed 'Paper Panzers' that we all like to build. They are called Paper Panzers as they never left the drawing board stage.

Now depending on finances and modelling skills there are a couple of options. You can get a Tiger upper to go on the Tiger lower, or you can modify the upper so that the front is more like a Panther. You have the Panther turret, and in case you wondered the rear panel and those exhausts are actually sought after as they are they are the correct ones for another model.

It has never ceased to amaze me that HL have been producing this tank since they went into the business almost ten years ago, it still sells, and people still buy it, so it must appeal to quite a number of customers, and yet, it isn't a model of any tank that was ever built? HL must have discovered a niche market that all other manufacturers have missed??

As for Nitrotek, as I know from rather expensive experience, it isn't a company with whom I would do business again, I suggest you type 'Nitrotek problem' into Google... :silent:
