Re: Help
If left unchecked-yes.
Looks like the idler is tearing out of the hull.
Will need to at least replace the idler system with a tensioner so the hull can be repaired & not relied on to sustain the constant demands of the idler while running.

Re: Help
Price up a tensioner system from Taigen or henntec so you are aware of the full cost to get it reliable .
Plus it will let you see if your happy to put the work in to fit them.

Re: Help
Stewart, Before you spend money on a King Tiger Pro you ought to ask yourself what your Tank will be doing,
There is little point spending money on upgrades that will cost you money but will give you no more than the standard Tank unless there is an advantage to be gained.
People who fight their Tanks often use the original plastic tracks and wheels and sprockets but there is no doubt that if you want realism there is no substitute for the look of metal tracks,
They just look right.
But with them you enter the law of diminishing returns,
The extra weight requires tougher gears and perhaps a wider choice of ratios and a set of Gearbox output shaft bearings,
The increase in wear on the sprockets mean you will be better off with metal ones which means metal wheels and idlers, the hull will be the better for reinforcement as well and something often forgotten is that you will reduce the available time between charges of the Battery which is one reason many of us run 4000Mah + LI-POs
But if you only want it to run across the carpet to annoy the cat I would say go for Plastic everything and save a small fortune. Your ability to drive and maintain a (PRO) model will be exactly the same as the much cheaper and lighter and less stressed model.
Enjoy making the choice,
Shaun.

Re: Help
^^^ What he said.
I have all plastic, and heavy metal tanks. For blasting around and having a good time the plastic ones get put on the battlefield every time. The heavy metal ones are more for show and realism that anything else, and cost ridiculous amounts of money in the process.

Re: Help
Shaun & wibblywobbly
sorry for not replying sooner it's Sunday and my wife and I go to Church
thank you for the advice yes
I only want to run my Tank's on the front room carpet or maybe the yard
I sent a message to the fellow who has the KING TIGER he said that He under stood it was not for me
I don't like to string folks along
I have looked on here but there's nothing in the price range unless one of you all have a Cammo TIGER cheep I hate that Blue Grey
I have seen 2 TIGER'S on evilbay that I'm interested in and did write to the chap but got no reply that's strange because I'm a evilbay seller and I always replied to questions I'll go for a plastic Tank my mind is set on plastic
I want one with the newer things sound smoke lights recoil etc can you recommend some thing around £150 ish why is it that there seems to be no Cammo TIGERS in the lower price range surely it's easy to make cammo plastic Tanks as it is Blue Grey is this is silly question
I'm very glad that some one on here thinks that I'm worthy of a reply to my Questions
Sorry for my questions out of the blue and not having loads of money to buy the best Tank
