I am the closest - it will take me about 20 minutes. If you can text me or phone me when you leave I will set off shortly after. I will make sure the car i packed the night before!

Since I have a temporary halt with my panzershreck till the drill arrives, I have decided to investigate the internals of my Sherman, just to see whether it is comprehensible enough for me to try changing the board in it. Wish me luck ;D

I think you will find it a doddle, it helps if you use the RX18 case (bottom half) and a piece of thick double sided tape/pad etc to keep it in place.

No problem, we are only allowed to battle for 15 minutes every hour anyway. The rest of the time we just run your tanks around the scenery to keep the public entertained, answering questions about them etc.

A message to all, can you please ensure that volumes are turned down on the day.

It's all indoors, if you scroll back up this thread you will see the set up, they lay judo mats in a 30ft square for us, and provide trestle tables and a couple of chairs (no guarantee with the chairs so you may wish to bring one).

If you bring around 5 tanks that will be more than enough, what doesn't fit on the trestles we place around the battlefield, it gives the public something to look at when we aren't running them.

Just been exchanging emails with Clark, the non-recoil is a solder issue on the board. Just did some testing with a multimeter. Pins 2 & 3 give 5v constant. Pins 1 & 3 should give 0.2v and that should change when I fire the gun, but I get 0v regardless. He has asked me to return it to Tankzone to get a replacement. I had to do a video to prove that the remote was up the creek, it was getting way too difficult to explain what was going on when I tried to program the board using the one I have.

The remote was a weird one, it used to work fine, I even used it last year to program the Bulldog, but somewhere along the line it has corrupted itself and sends out the wrong signals. If the TK22 doesn't recognise the signal it flashes the led's the number of times that relate to the signal that was sent. Even more weirdly the signals change from one test to the next. I have tried taking the batteries out, pressing the power button to discharge the capacitor, and all sorts, but it seems to have become completely useless. If anyone knows how to reset a remote I can resurrect it.

No idea whether this is any good https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/d ... fications. A lot of versions require you to ue the TV, not a lot of good when your TV's a tank!
