I have some tamiya panther sprockets if they're any use to you?

Won't fit the gearbox I'm afraid! And don't mesh much better either.

Hi If the tracks and sprocket have paint on them that's the first thing you need to get off , then try again , running with tracks as tight as you can on concrete usually beds them in.Once the sprockets start to shine that's where they are tight and may need a little taking off.

regards pete

P.S. I never paint tracks just bed them in then run them in mud

It's a manufacturing flaw, the Sproket teeth are too thick need grinding with a dremel but it's a bit of a pain

Just a quick update - I'm ordering a new set of Mato tracks and sprockets. The sprockets look to be reasonably well made, with narrower teeth. Hopefully this will put the problem to rest once and for all. I'll let you all know how i get on

Problem solved, standing side by side theres not a whole lot of difference between the sprockets, except the shape of the teeth, its a pity that the mato sprockets arent as chunky as the Taigen, but they mesh straight out of the box

I can finally get on with the rest of the build
