i think (or should that be hope) that my panzerschreck and operator are starting to come together. The weapon has a bore of approximatey 5mm, which should give enough room for the emitter, but from the look of it, the wiring could be a stumbling block. The only thing missing is the blast shield for the weapon. Possibly, a kindly gentleman with a 3~D printer can be prevailed upon to manufacture one. ;D If I make sufficient progress, I will post pictures, otherwise I will bring what I have to the meet.

My only concern i that I think I will have to glue everything together as I go, which will make it very difficult to do any surgery to the weapon. I will do my best to make the weapon removable if I can.

I still have my surprize package to go with the brazier.

Good news Richard, we should be able to figure out where to put the led. Mind you, I also have a container full of smoke pellets that would add to the festivities.... :haha:

This is what I have so far. Unfortunately, if I try to stand the figure up it either drop the weapon or over-balances or both. I still have a huge amount of work to do. Nit picker will note that the weapon is not firmly planted into hi shoulder - I thought I was pushing my luck too far to modify the left arm that much. The more perspicacious will probably notice that he has no head. That is currently firmly stock on a small pole, o that I can paint better paint it.

Well he looks pretty good to me, though I haven't seen Percy Pacious at the tank meets??

If we wanted to get really clever you could drill a hole up through a place I dare not mention and up to his shoulder, and run the wires for the led invisibly through his body, and then into the tube. Alternatively if he is stood next to the shed the wires can run straight into the rear of the tube.

If I give you the shed on Sunday you may be able to do one of your wondrous tricks and create a base for the fearless, headless soldier and mount him so that he doesn't fall over?

The weapon is solid, so would need boring out, ideally using a vertical drill platform, which I don't have. Not sure whether a pin vice is suitable or how long that would take. I would be worried about not drilling straight.

Well, I've taken my courage in both hands, or to be more precise, the panzerschreck in one hand and my pin vice on the other. I now have very tired fingers and a 30mm hole down the barrel. Sounds good until I point out that the thing is 110mm long. I can probably get another 5-10mm. Even if I do the same from the other end, I will be left with at least 30mm in the middle, unless I can find some very long thin drill bits.

I have a 3mm drill bit that is 73mm long that I can bring to the next tank meet if you want to try it?

That would be very handy. I will have a look round locally in the meantime.
