If you can find a Turnigy 9x then that would be my first choice,
As you noticed it is much cheaper but it was superseded by the 9xr so I am surprised you have found one,
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Dont forget you need either an extra board or super precise soldering to flash software in the stock turnigy 9x!!! The Turnigy 9xr does not exist anymore. Now you have the turnigy 9xr pro, which is way superior to the plain 9x.

It has sound, haptic, can play music, voices, lets you add plenty of 3 position switches, replace a pot for a 6 pos switch etc etc
