First is to remove the wheel and suspension closest to the idler, then attack the existing idler lug with a dremel:

That's as far as I would dare with my dremel:

Then flatten with a bit of sand paper and marked up a hole 5mm above the original hole with a sharp end drill

Drilled the hole but it is not very round at all

Now much better after opening it up with a file and connecting it with the existing hole

Installed one side of the tension with the grub screw at 3 o'clock position

Then drilled a 2mm hole in situ

Done the same to the other side and is now all installed

Then simply install the idler (with washers to adjust wheel alignment) and tighten the grub screw after setting the tension

Next is to install the Walterson gearbox because with the standard gearbox, it is a bit hard to control with standard electronics.
Main reason I bought it is because of the base plate which stiffen up the whole front end of the tank

Simple plug and play as all the screw holes are in the right position

After 1 run in the garden, it started making some strange noise, taken it apart to have a look, maybe something is missing....

The other side don't look much better either

Did anyone else have the same problem with Walterson gearboxes?
Anyway, thought I might as well try the smaller pinions as the tank was a bit too fast anyway. The tool supplied for changing the pinion don't inspire confidence. I think I can drill a hole straighter than that with my eyes shut!

Anyway, smaller pinion fitted, did a few runs and all still working so far. More updates when I do more to it. Possibility an IBU2.
