Post by Spartan tracks »

If my health pics up guys next year I'm thinking of gradually getting rid of my H/L Tanks and getting TAMIYA tanks ,are they that much better than H/L to warrant the extra price, how do they differ??????.
Or stop building H/ L tanks and buy and paint a MARK 1 1/6 th tank probably a KT so what's peoples thoughts on all this????? Andy

Hi Andy, here's hoping that you will be feeling better soon. Here is a thought, why not hold onto your HL tanks and do what I did for now. Buy yourself a Tamiya tank, build it, and experience the difference for yourself. I don't want to start a war by saying one is better than the other, we've been there before. All I can say is that I for one, won't be buying any HL tanks in the near future.

Hi Andy, Hope your health does pic up and you get back to your great hobby. Dare I say but I think the 1/6 scale is rather awesome....and that is what I would go for. I have a 1/8 tank at the moment and the size does take getting used to as would the 1/6. Ive spoken to Mark at Mark 1 and I must say he is very helpful and does supply a great aftercare/advice service :D
No disrespect to 1/16 scale as they are stunning Tanks and I have no intension of moving my ones on as I really enjoy them..... :D. I cant really comment on the Tamiya models as ive never owned one, but they are certainly top quality bits of kit. Either way I'm sure you will enjoy whatever scale/type you choose.......keep us all posted

All the best
Mark

Would love a 1/8 or 1/6 scale tank but we don't have a garage - next house will lol

The easiest way to put this is you get what you pay for.
