h/l tiger help needed

my h/l tiger has got a problem, its fitted with metal gears/tracks/sprockets/idlers, but when i drive through mud or on grass the tracks try to come off, they jump on the rear idlers and i have to put them on like you would on a bike chain, it still drives with them not in the correct position but the front can start to slip under heavy loads, what can i do to stop this, i think my tracks have 96 links, it performs lovely in deep mud and puddles but im having to stop and re position the tracks every 5 minutes.... has anyone else had this problem and how do i sort it? 

i dont realy wanna be stuck out in the mud all the time fixing my tracks, im a sitting duck for a t34, or shemans that might me hidding somewhere.....................

If you can put the track on like a bike chain then you've got too much slack. Tracks stretch when they've been run a bit.

they take some getting back on, realy hard to do,  yep 96 links each track.

with the tiger alignment of the tracks is very important have a look down each side and see if you can see anything that doesnt look right

ie a sprocket or the idler to far in or too far out

Getting the tracks on and off is a problem with Tigers.

There are two options:

1. Remove a pin and join the tracks up after you have threaded them around the wheels and sprockets.

2. Remove the front sprocket, fit the track, and then wiggle the sprocket up inside the track. This can be done if the sprocket halves are fitted seperately.

I have done mine loads of times, but it's never a five minute job. The idler adjusters are a godsend, and well worth the money.

i never have to take anything of, you can get them back on by hand, they dont come right off, just rear idlers get the track guides stuck in the middle if you know what i mean, and some times same with sporckets.

adjusters sound like a good idea though.
