Paint them pink, sky blue, red and yellow put funny little Japanese characters all over them with huge colorful flags then get a bunch of Japanese school girls to drive them around!

My sated friend. If this is solely a Tank builder problem and you are searching for motivation,
RESEARCH dear boy,
Start reading up on the history of Tanks, become aware of Basil Lydell Harts contribution and his theories as well as the better known Heinz Guderian's advancement of the "Blitzkrieg" theory of the use of armour ,
Study the tactical use of Tanks,
You will be better able to understand the varied roles as well as its distinctive place on the Battlefield,
Look at the various users of the same type of Tank,
How on Earth could the British, Israeli, or the Australian or Canadian armed forces see one Tank (The Centurion)as the answer to their own quite different requirements ?
And never ignore the Human element in the fighting of Tanks, there are some interesting biography's from all armies,
It is not just Wittman,

I love to read up all the time but when I want quick motivation I watch tank overhaul online. It makes what we do seem so simple. Then watch Greatest Tank Battles....

I quite often watch war/modelling/tank stuff on You Tube while I am modelling, I have picked up all sorts of tips by randomly clicking on things. I even made battlefield scenics that double as display diorama's for very little money after watching one genius at work.

Ah, those were the days, Jack...gone, but decidedly not forgotten.jackalope wrote:Paint them pink, sky blue, red and yellow put funny little Japanese characters all over them with huge colorful flags then get a bunch of Japanese school girls to drive them around!

ghost-in-the-machine and Agony Uncle. Now that notion would have been worthy of the Prince of Prodigious Posting (he managed nearly 4, 000 post per annum without breaking a sweat....and ought to be in the Guinness book of records, or some Hawaiian care home for advanced eccentrics). I wonder what remedies Uncle J has for P.T.T-B.D., or, Post Traumatic Tank- Building disorder? That's the lull before the apathy after a project's finished...

If you enjoy a dirty fight then Political infighting is for you, it beats house clearing by a country mile, only don't be surprised if you discover that the friends who you started with are absent at the end.
By the way Paul is hard to miss, if he is not to be found on "RCTR" then there is always "RCTA" and if that fails you could try "RCU" the internet world is your oyster.
If he who must not be named tries to contact me it will be in Russian (He thinks he is fluent, He wishes
!) But just like you I miss the old pain in the rear fender.
You are getting to old for draggem out fights, why not do what I do? Sit in the corner nursing a glass of coke and wind everyone else up, it is a lot of fun honest.
Shaun.
