Jarndice,
A page or so ago, we were talking about the cost of these die cast pieces and types. I remembered that I wanted to put a couple of pics up of the two French sedans to see if they were the same with different paint jobs. Well, I found all of my previous pieces and here are the pics. The black one is from the 30's and like you noted, the 'Liberation of Paris' model is actually based on a 50's version. It still looks good but the two cars are definitely different time periods. I hope you are enjoying yours as well. ;o) Pics:
regards,
Painless

Isn't the main difference that one has the large boot and curved bumper and the other has the Continental tire looking trunk and curvier front bumper and hand crank hole uncovered on the front grill.
I read that when they resumed building the big boot model it was the same as wartime production.

After seeing all the Citrons I decided I would try one.

It looked extremely small next to I/16 figures so I did a little suspension lift on it .

Also tweaked the door hinges do they open further.

Looks much better now next to 1/16th stuff (and even 1/18th) That must have been a pretty small car.

Haven't done any markings yet.

Definitely not a staff car. Some rich German would probably have hidden it away in a barn out in the sticks to keep a high ranking Nazi officer from confiscating it for his personal use.

Is it just me, or does that car just scream "Gestapo"? Now I just need a couple little dudes in leather trench coats and 40s style hats.

A little to flashy and it looks like its a two seater. Where would they stick the people they were taking in to work over?
The guys sound like a neat idea though but with a different car.
This car would be in Herman Goering's private collection.

To get stuffed in that boot they would have to have been already beaten into a pulp. Would attract to much attention. The Gestapo were "secret police" and that car would hardly be secret looking.

Here's a little raw fpv footage of some (actually, almost all) of the stuff we've accumulated (hoarded) for the Tank Park

If you watch you'll see pieces of this footage in future videos.
