That is really cool!! If I had to guess..it looks like powder is inserted in the barrel and being ejected by the bb's.. then reloaded between shots. (The picture shudders between each shot which leads me to think it isn't it a continuous sequence of firing.)

Yes, Tom, the video has been edited. Remember the balloon trick? This is very similar, and this weekend I'll do a video showing how I did it. It's really very easy and a good effect when you're taking video of your tanks. I wish I could get flame, too, but that will be much more difficult. We'll keep trying, though. 8)

OK, Men, here's another quickie and the how - to. I'm actually pattin' myself on the back for keeping them both under 2 minutes. Do yourself a favor and click for full screen. That little window is for the birds. I also learned that the yellow background behind the new PzIII is not good! I did, however, really like the kind of dispersion effect the cloud had. I'll have to try this outdoors on a still, sunny day.

Here's how

phpBB [video]

The second part of the trick is Windows Live Movie Maker. It's ridiculously easy to use and it should be on most PCs with Windows 7 or 10. If a Gomer like me can figger it out it can't be that freakin' difficult, eh? Hey! You didn't have to agree with that statement so damned quickly! Anyway, Ausf taught me about how if you zoom in first and don't move the camera or the tank it will stay focused, no matter what range you go to (no idea of the proper lingo for that one. Range? Distance? Zoom level?). Same thing for editing this. I just did it in one long take and clipped out the reloads. If anyone wants to see the original video, before I cut out the reloads, I suppose I could post it. I just prefer not to appear on camera, ya know?

And this is only the beginning of the videos the new PzIII will star in. I'm slowly collecting the parts and I'm thinking the PzIII might be my first proper build log on this forum, posted at the proper place (I'm really lazy about all these different categories) but I have a few issues to work out first. This is the Imex/Taigen offering and it has the same metal lower I have in the Stug, but I'm a tad disappointed with the turret on this tank. Almost none of the hatches function! But I'm getting there, as the budget allows. I already have the air intake boxes and PE screens, 4 shaft GBs, and plenty of metal spare track links. I'm still looking for a plastic Panzer III exhaust so I can try to modify it something like I did to the Tauchpanzer. Anyone in the states with P3 parts they'd like to trade? I have oodles of parts for Tigers, Bulldogs, and Panthers to swap if y'all are interested. I know I need a decent tool set, but I have a few tools from the metal P4 set. Does anyone have hatches?

Now, where'd I put that spare IBU2? What? Work more overtime? Damn!

Herr Gary, I offered you a thousand times a set of PIII exhausts, but got no response. Also I may have some more spares.

I like the effect. Be sure to let us know if you start to get fouling in the BB chamber and gun. I would think some of the powder will work its way down into things eventually. Who knows, due to the silkiness of the powder, it may work out to be a good lubricant for the gun. :haha:

Rad, PM sent and thank you very much. I do remember you saying you'd be watching to see how things turn out after you saw the Tauchpanzer video (did you ever find the video I made on how I did that? If not and if you want to see it I'll find it and send a link or maybe just post it here), but I thought it was someone else that has a spare exhaust. I guess the old hippie brain is playing tricks on me. Again. Doh!

And Joe, I'll keep you posted but this is a trick I won't use all that much. I also thought about residue and I don't want to gum anything up so I'll just use it in videos and load the barrel right before the shot. And Joe, you may have seen that I posted this on another forum as well as here, did you see the new guy boo me? Am I just being thin skinned or was that guy out of line? No one said he had to watch or like how it's done, and if he was disappointed that's not my problem, ya know?

I didn't see anything negative Gary, maybe I read through the posts too quickly. Anyway, it's a cool trick, a nice bit of realism.
