GOT A CREW TOGETHER

Post by HERMAN BIX »

I was fortunate enough to have one of the club members offer to paint figures in exchange for me doing some mod work on bits of his PZ IV that has laid around for a while.

Now I wasn't real keen on another hassle with a P IV in a hurry, but as I paint figures like I operate on open hearts, it was a deal.

Now I feel have not done nearly enough in exchange for the huge effort he's put in on this Verlinden crew.
I'm more than happy to do a lot more on his tank but I really wasn't sure how far to go even though we discussed it in depth.
He got to run wild with the fugues, I got to try different ideas for a PZ IV. G/H
The commander figure in the splinter jacket was one I wanted to ride in my Zu-Fuss Panther.

Thanks Brendon, massive effort and I really appreciate the hours you put in.

I have the Verlinden crew waiting for me to start on painting. Now I have mixed emotions. Not sure whether I'm inspired or put off!

What a brilliant crew you have Herman.
You have a very talented friend whom I am sure appreciates your excellent modelling skills too.
Figure painting is a skill I have always admired.

herman

i just did this kit for jackalope and the driver's head looked really small for his body so i replaced it. very nice paint job by your mate ! ps don't try and fit them in a tiger ! they don't. the guy in the splinter jacket is the driver and the head is tiny, the commander is the guy in the grey and the standing figure i believe is a visitor from another tank and he doesn't have the flare pistol and flare.

Good advice Doc
The splinter jacket guy is going to be my man in charge of the Zu Fuss, not sure about the others yet.
Grey shirt might get a run in the octopus King Tiger yet !
Will try them out & see how they look
