Re: North African M4a1
Good afternoon,
I've recently been reading through Steve Zaloga's newest books on Sherman usage in WWII. Those along with color notates and first hand reports from sites dedicated to the tank make me think that you are not off at all, Frank. Here is just a small example: http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/US/M4_Sherman.php
regards,
Painless

Very nice. I like anything Sherman. Looks like your turret is pretty much finished but don't forget to remove the rear turret blower housing as the 105 was the only one with 2 turret blowers.
Re: North African M4a1
To be honest, after converting to a small hatch hull and scratch building the mantlet, transmission cover and skirts, I forgot the blower. I'd already started painting when I realised so thought "bugger it, it stays"
