IBU2 IR emitter question

Hi all,

Battle day coming up this weekend and is planning bringing my DGS Firefly with IBU2 to do battle, then realized I know nothing about the IBU2 hook-up for IR. Questions for the IBU2 crowd:

- I don't have any Tamiya battle units, so can I use the IR port on the Heng Long 5 pin plug ? The 1st two pin seems to say Tx+ and Tx-, and then the next three is standard HL receiver.

- The Flasher Ring port, is that where you plug in the LED(s) for the Hit indicator ? I should be able to use the Blue Ring on it right ? Blue Ring is a ring of LEDs from RCTA.

I am hoping that IBU doesn't only support TBU and their IR emitter..........

That's correct

Tx +/- is for IR emitter.

Hit LEDs will work rcta blue ring but if not try reversing polarity as rcta kit might have it other way to ibu2.
