Help with tracks.

I bought this heng long 1/16th jagdpanther about 2 years ago and ever since I bought it upon turning the left track and the left track only catches onto the sprocket at first I thought this wasn't a problem until I started driving it on surfaces such as carpet, short grass and a few other "gripy" things and noticed the tank would make clicking sounds because it would grab the sprocket tightly. Help please.

And for those that are wondering, all units are intact and in working condition: gearbox, recoil unit and etc.

Oh yeah, my guess is that the teeth of sprocket might be the problem because they seem to be grabbing onto the tracks for too long.

I would try filing the teeth of the sprockets just a little to make sure there's no flash on them and that they don't fit too snug into the tracks.

Pretty normal for the Jagdpanthers and Panthers. Mine have Asiatam lower hulls so I was able to make track adjustments. That pretty much fixed the problem. Mine didn't click however, make sure your track pins are pushed all of the way in. Welcome to the form also.

You could try putting the tank on a block and running it. This should allow the sprockets and tracks to bed in together. They are just binding at the moment.

This actually helped, though it still catches every now and then.
