that is the finest pz4 i have ever seen! i like them with schirzen (?) but i'd never put it on that thing of beauty !

congrats and great job sir.
Thanks Mr Doc
I also prefer the Schurzen look and I do have a set for it, but doing a Malta vehicle ruled out using it.
If Peddinghaus can't supply my B11 decals I will have to hand paint, and that could ruin it !
It still looks a bit clean for me, but a session at a club day will dust it up nice

Kevin, That is not a Sherman,
It is a PANZER 4.
Called a German Sherman because it was the only German Tank in production from 1938 to 1945 which makes it the longest and most produced German TANK built during WW2 and it being a Medium Tank puts it in the same class as the most produced American TANK of WW2, The M4 Sherman.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Herman,
It is a thing of industrial beauty. I love the helmets and spare road wheels and how you took the time to show attachment points. The paint is stunning as well. Following along.
regards,
Painless

That's the one. I called it a German Sherman due to its long production, many variants, and the fact it was a no-frills workhorse that filled its role well without being flamboyant in any aspect.
It turned out OK despite me getting the hates on with the suspension.

So is the tank, nice work!
Cheers Mr Ecam, it turned out OK. If I do P IV again it will be a full on late version with all the relevant details.
I almost did a flak tank on this one so that's not completely gone as a possibility either

Appreciate the kudos Mr Painless, period photos of the unit shows they all used to hang their helmets on the rear spare track, and also off the front turret lifting hooks.
This unit also had three spare road wheels on the left hull, and normally jerry cans along the right, I assume as this unit was destined for Malta/Africa .

Absent just now is the tool box on the left side of the turret stowage bin, and the bucket!
Then the B11 which I really hope not to have to hand paint.
