Another quick question if I may please fella's, I have had this sherman metal towing hitch in the spares box for a while and was wondering whether this would be found on the rear of the firefly before I go putting it on ?

Cheers, Lee.

First off I think your Sherman looks great, however I'm a little confused. First question, is this a 1/16 scale tank? Your title says "Tamiya Sherman Firefly" what part of the tank is Tamiya, I was under the impression that Tamiya only made the HVSS Sherman hull, have you converted the suspension or are you using a non Tamiya lower. Thanks for your patience with my question.

Hi Joe, yes your observation is correct, it is all tamiya except for the bogies which are mato, the upper hull, chassis, turret and all of the electronics are tamiya , most of the changes that make it a firefly are scratch built such as the hatches, rear deck, radio box, rear stowage bin etc, thanks for looking in

Cheers, Lee.

I like it a lot. How did you do the gasmask? Looks amazing.

Thanks Rad, the helmet is just a metal one that I picked up off eBay then painted and added the bullet hole and ss markings, the mask itself is a resin piece which I again painted and added brown cotton for the draw strings,

Cheers, Lee.

Thanks for your response. The more I look your tank more I like it. I also want to install a towing hitch on my sherman, take some photos if you install it.

About your tank it looks perfect, I would just only paint the soldier in a more darker colour.

Hi Rad, thanks for your input I'll be sure to add some pics when I put the hitch on  the tank rider does look a little bright in the pics I think it must be the light, he doesn't really look like kermit under normal lighting honest :haha:
