The Highlander Will Love It

Post by Max-U52 »

Saw this on fleabay and couldn't resist. Not only is he 1/16 scale, he's marked as being made in occupied Japan! How cool is that?

So what do you think, Roy? Do I get a Highlands stamp of approval? :haha: :haha:

He was 8 bucks so we can paint away! @) @)

I'll wait to hear from Roy and let him choose the paint scheme. 8)

And congratulations to the guys who's name has recently turned green. I know Jack was just made a mod, and I think Wibbs is a recent addition to the green name club, right? Both excellent choices.

For you geography buffs, this little Westie was shipped to me from Vermont (east coast). I'm in Detroit (Midwest). For some reason tracking says the item has reached Los Angeles, California! And now it's apparently in Indianapolis, Indiana. This little puppy gets around more than Roy himself does! Talk about the scenic route! :haha: :haha:

Yours will be the most eclectic tank park anywhere, Gary...and now you've added a Japanese POW porcelain Westie to the collection :haha: Well, just don't forget the shell holes, bunkers, battlefield wrecks and ruined doll's houses (posing as Bremen, say..). Here we have Pipers of the 51st Highland Division destroying the ears of the defeated German population, in May 1945:
Sadly, no Westie in sight

Here's a 2 dimensional Westie with my newly arrived Taigen Torro Sherman M4A3:

And again:

And, of course, Gary ..there's nothing like the REAL thing..

A Westie I mean...not a miniature 1/16 'Ronson' :haha:

Thanks, Jake, that's a good site. I'm sure they'll be dipping into my wallet before long. :haha:

Thanks a lot, Roy, now I have to find some 1/16 pipers!! 8) :haha:

I like the idea of eclectic. If you think about it, isn't the whole world slightly eclectic? :haha: @)

My little park will definitely draw on a wide base of materials to make our fellow RC tankers smile. 8)

And Midgie is just fantastic. What a beautiful creature!

And now I'm curious, does Midgie's tag have your phone number on it? All my guys carry mine, just in case, and it actually once got Shadow back home (long story).

He has arrived! He said he just wanted to check out the Pacific Ocean before he started his new life in the Tank Park. @)

He (or she?) is nowhere near as goodlookin' as Midgie, but he's still pretty cool. He needs a name.
