Sherman 75mm BB barrel

Post by 88-bait »

Hi guys, can any of you more experienced lads out there tell me where I can find a Sherman 75mm BB barrel to go with the M34A1 mantel please? I'm relatively new to this big scale, so parts and spares are going to be a problem for a while. Would the Mato MT 162 be the right barrel? I dont really want to send to Singapore for one though!

I'm putting the parts together for a Sherman III (late) project, so the extra fuel caps are also needed. I guess these will have to be scavenged or scratch built?

Cheers guys

Pretty sure forgebear stocks the barrel and mantlet for 75mm shermans in his eBay shop.

88-bait, take a look at the approved vendors list. I'm sure one of them will be able to help. In the states, I would go to Taigen/IMEX. Ebay may offer a solution as well.

Cheers lads, I have the m34A1 mantlet from Forgebear, but the barrel still eludes me. I'm still putting the finishing touches to my Firefly Hybrid, so I have some time yet before I start the Sherman III. I will have a look at the vendors list to see if that helps 8) Being in the UK is not easy for a Sherman nut Joe as I'm not a fan of sending for spares outside of Europe. i love tea time on eBay seem to have the barrels, but its in Singapore 8O . The air soft fitting looks like a straight swap for the 105mm gun 8)

The acquisition of knowledge goes on........... :D

You might try Erik at Imex. For just a barrel shipping shouldn't be over 6 or 8 pounds.

I got my barrel and it was right under my nose with Dave/forgebear. Maybe there was a small bit of mis-understanding on my part, but its sorted and the project parts are coming together 8)
