Ah. 27mhz. Ok. I thought there was a new system.

Barry, your internals are so clean, it's as if I can eat food on it. I wish my tank was that organized internally.

Spent most of the day today making the speaker enclosure. It is constructed using .080" styrene sheet. It is likely over kill but it is really sturdy! I made it as large as I thought practical maximizing the available space in the forward end of the electronic (white room) compartment.

Up next is the Battery Box, it will be just 4 walls to keep the battery from "flopping" around.

Thanks for checking in!
Barry

"In a white room, with black curtains" !!...............
That sure looks to be a whopper of a sound system mate, set it so you can run your TV through it on game day, it would be good enough :haha: :haha:

Hi Guys,

Battery tray mounted, ElMod Board mounted using .5" nylon standoffs and screws. Speaker enclosure still needs to be mounted and I will work on that tomorrow along with a tray fro the receiver.

Should I be concerned about heat from the battery during operation? I can drill holes in the tray sides if needed.

Thanks for looking in,
Barry

Barry,

Lipo does not get hot during discharge. If it is getting hot you have a different problem. Our tank doesn't not require anywhere close to the ratings that some of the lipo delivers.

For the speaker box, would stick-on velcro dots work ?
They are real cheap, and pretty versatile.

Herman,

I have considered velcro and it is still a possibility but I am leaning towards a hard mount. I am thinking a mortise and tenon on the forward end against the bulkhead then a retaining clip screwed to the floor on the aft side or something like that.

Thanks for the advice,
Barry

Hi Guys,

I believe I have made some good progress over the past 3 days. Just about ready to start wiring this monster up and get the “juice” flowing!

Main Electronic/Electrical compartment nearly finished. All enclosures, mounting trays and mounts complete. Speaker enclosure is mounted using a mortise and tenon on the forward end and a mounting tab and screw on the aft end.
