Hi Emajay,

I worked in London for 30 years, but not for the last 10 and I only know of 2 major toy shops..Hamleys not far from Picadilly Circus, and Modelzone near Holborn station. Modelzone will stock Tamiya not HengLong tanks, and I do not think that Hamleys will stock either, certainly neither will stock spares of any kind.

The nearest shop that I know will stock Tamiya and HengLong is Howes Models in Oxford. They will stock a very small number of spares such as motors, HL circuit boards, HL metal tracks, HL gearboxes and Batteries. Tankzone stock all sorts of parts but they are not a shop just a web company.

I cant help more than that.....try a Google web search....HL tank shops in London or something

Best of luck....Mike

Hamleys used to have a big Model section. I remember drooling over the 1/16 Tam Tiger 1 some ten years or so ago.

Its a 30min train ride out of central London but my local modelzone in Croydon has the 1/16 tamiya range and did have HL & WSN tanks in last time i checked. I was in the Sutton branch yesterday and they had a few WSN Tigers and T34's on the shelf.

Is Hannatts still going? Probably the best model shop i've seen although i dont remember seeing any R/C stuff.
