Wasnt there a 101mm recoiless rifle as well ?
I had a perforated 101mm case in the old country & could never figure out how to display it properly with others without it looking like a waste basket !!

Herman - at least you didn't have the problem a friend told me about. He was a Royal Navy clearance diver. His boss went to a do in the officers mess which had a large fire & a couple of very large shells sat on the hearth. On examination (and being told off for touching the shiny metal) he determined they were live...... They went back the next day to deal with them - rough estimate put the explosive power at building levelled & a big hole.

That sounds very much like the incident at RAF Cowden a few years back. Two rockets one each side of a large inglenook fire place. Both disappeared after someone realised that the wires hanging out the bottom were only present on live rounds.

You'd hope the armed forces were more aware of how their toys worked.....
