Ah, I stand corrected - no doubt I confused with some other tank or statistic. Crikey only 187 eh, that's doesn't seem a lot at all.

Personally I am glad I opted for the bare metal version. Not much is saved by getting the painted version, apart from the time and cost of the painting itself of course. However, even though this tank comes with some very good, and sometime quite excellent, detail and features there are still a number of areas that, for me, need attention/modding, depending on how far you want to go naturally.

As already mentioned it appears the barrel lock needs to be moved to the correct position on the rear. Moreover, I have found quite a few (small) areas of rough casting, and quite a bit of flashing on suspension units needs removing and generally cleaning up. I also found small but visible gaps between the lower turret and the upper section which are screwed together. The gaps needs filling here, as well as a few other places, and there are also missing weld lines here and there.
I also have in mind a number of further detailing mods so, for me, it is just as well I got the bare metal version as a lot of re-painting would have been in order anyway. On the other hand you may just prefer a ready out of the box painted finish and there is nothing wrong with that.
