There is also this one, if you aren't after tank engine sounds (though a Benedini will provide those if hooked up to it).

The kit eg pcb and components can be purchased in kit form, it is very easy to assemble, very few components. Just push the pins through the board, a dab of solder, and cut the pins off. Takes about an hour if working very slowly and carefully. I have had two of these in the past and they did the job, full range Tamiya compatible IR and all of the tank controls improved dramatically.
