Taigen Tiger 1 lower hull latch system pics request
Hello, I have found one pic online of the taigen tiger 1 latch system that is on my new lower hull that I intend on using on my HL tiger 1. That pic only shows the left side latch handle, I have yet to find any pics of how the rest mounts to the underside of the upper hull. The problem is the new lower hull didn't come w/ any real instructions to swap over the cool latch system; it's just all thrown in baggies. There is one sheet of paper (in color) that says it is the taigen chassis manual... yet it's almost like it's just the cover and no pages!
Any help w/ be appreciated, thanks! -Royce

Checkout this video, Eric of Taigen Tanks goes into some details about the latch system. You'll see the underside of the upper hull when he opens up the tank.

I'm not sure how I missed that Video since I'm a subscriber! Thank you!!! I can see now where those two tiny metal pieces go; I was thinking they went up front somewhere. My kit came w/ that metal brace too, but I kind of figured that went up front. There is also a 2 inch x 1 inch piece of metal w/ a L shaped latch bar that I'm still trying to figure out where the heck that would go. Thanks again! -Royce

Take a picture of these parts that are still in question and post them.
I have a Taigen tank with this latch system, and I will do my best to try a match the unknowns you have.

I ended up taking that off for various reasons of space but I recall that just goes up front on upper front and seats into a notch on the lower front hull.

The front metal brace bar's holes don't even line up w/ the two predrilled holes on the chassis; heck its way off. Weirdtao wrote:I ended up taking that off for various reasons of space but I recall that just goes up front on upper front and seats into a notch on the lower front hull.

Royce If you type "Taigen quick release" into the search box on the top right side of this page and then scroll down 5 entries, look at the top right picture, EXPAND it if you will, and you can see how the frame fits on the front of the Tank BODY.

Ok, I see that.. cool. So that explains that piece's arrangement! Thanks again It's a shame the metal brace does not fit where it is shown on other pics & videos, at least not on mine, the holes do not line up. Oh well, I can redrill new holes into the chassis later on.
