Hard to gauge, but its close enough.
Really could have done with 5mm out, but its got a slope & thats better than flat out of the box.

The rear vents are now sloped to match the engine deck.
Again, drew lines along the flattest edge & hooked in with the razor saw.
Once the top section was off, I weighed up whether or not to reclaim the original material, or add new.
Add new it is.
Tidied up the slices & glued new sheet on top.
Seems to be the right choice.
Putty on the joints & will sand these clean tomorrow.

Herman,
This tank would have been a fitting battle companion for the Crackerbox Palace during the forestalled Malta Invasion. Great and enduring work in defeating the machinations of our common foe, the HL Glue Monkey. Following along, my friend. I want to eventually do an early Pz IV.
Regards,
Painless

Interesting concept that the Malta Invasion posed..................just how the hell would the massive Russian "blocks of flats" be transported to the island, let alone the practicality of them in that environment.
All accounts say the armour designated for Malta was surplus and a mix of captured equipment.
The F2 IV's were the only proper "late" German tanks they were sending, so scope there for a KV 1 or 2 build in Africa base paint !

Re: HERMANS 'GERMAN SHERMAN' PZIV F2 'B11'
Been slow but some progress. Got major problems with the ole internet just now, slow, unstable and forgets to carry out tasks...........
Uh-oh, its getting like me
Photos once the I.T. is sorted.
Lowered the last return roller, swapped out all the deck hatches to metals versions, adapted the rear hull securing points to go onto a brass cross member. Instead of magnets.
Got to muck around with mudguards etc.
Drilled out the exhaust with a 4.8mm drill to thin it out.
My 2.4G set and gearboxes never arrived, on inquiry found out the I.T. problems have affected my paypal going through to the supplier.
Lots of potholes but nothing that wont be fixed in time.
