One more thing - The show is still open, and if you want to run down and pick up a few tanks I'd be happy to house them for you until you need them. I'll take really good care of them for ya. Promise. @) @) @)

Morning Max,

Thanks for the offer, lol. Like you I've got so many projects going on that the most difficult part is staying with one to the end so its finished! I'm going to hold off on another tank till that M1 becomes available. I would also like to see a Bradley type. Something with plenty of room to cram all these neat animatronics in.

Tanks were my first RC interests back in the eighties. Skipped school lunches to save enough money to get a Tamiya Gepard, but at the last moment I was side tracked by my first Tower Hobbies catalog and ended up with a Mantis instead, http://tinyurl.com/j5hhmjq

The movie Fury brought back that interest with a vengeance. Now I've got a shelf with a Taigen Air Soft Tiger 1, Sherman 75mm, and more recently a Stug III - literally picked this up last Thursday at Hobby Express in Pittsburgh. By no means are these to be kept as shelf Queens! They will all be patrolling my yard for varmints like rabbits, possums, and pesky squirrels via FPV. Our cat once kept these varmints in check, but he has since moved on to better hunting grounds. My inspiration....

Is the Tank park open to tankers, private, semi-private? Is it club owned an operated? Cost? This sounds like a real neat setup! And yes, I seen your videos. Thank you for sharing....I've actually been learning from them for the past 3-4 wks now!

(Disclaimer: No intention on hurting or killing fuzzy little animals. The aim is to annoy - so that they leave my garden area alone).

Glad the videos have been helpful.

The park is in my backyard so I'd call it private, but I've long been waiting for the day when other RC tankers will bring their tanks over to play. The park usually isn't usable for tanks until the end of June, but from there til mid-September i try to set it up every weekend and anyone that wants to show up is welcome, just let me know you're coming. You'll be able to get cool photos and videos of your tanks in a cool area and we can download them and put them on a CD for you to take home with you.

Wow, that's cool. I will probably take you up on that offer, and in exchange assist in any 'light' maintenence work that might be needed at the tank park. You've got a real unique setup - first I've ever heard of around here.

I'll be working on my own tank pathway that goes around the perimeter of my yard starting tomorrow. Majority of the patrol will be handled by the Sherman. Well see how accurate the 75mm airsoft is, but I'm already thinking of upgrading it to this 76mm cannon for added accuracy once the turret becomes available. The black squirrels have been sighted, and have already destroyed one of my plastic garbage can lids.

I'm glad RC tanks did not die out with Tamiya tanks due to their current price points. Metal wheels, working suspension, handful of gearboxes, upgrade parts, details, youtube, Makers, its just a great time to be in the hobby.
