tiger power help

Post by boxerdog »

i just picked up a 2700mah 7.2v battery at a bootfair for £2,  my tiger has a 2000mah at the mo, so can i wire them both up in the tiger together in line so that the tank will run for longer or will this damage my rx14?  or would i need to somehow swap betwwen power packs? ive seen some people run two batterys but im not sure on the best way to connect them?  any help welcome thanks.

Hi boxerdog
wouldnt be any use running the 2700 with the 2000 and may damage one or both of your batts
either run 2x 2000 or 2x2700

you could run a split charge/run setup using switches wouldnt be to hard to setup
the ideas behind twin batts is to increase amp hours (length of time between charges)

ok thanks for that, so i could just charge both up and switch power packs over when one if flat, so it will be ok using a 2700mah in the tiger on its own.

yes no problems using the 2700Mah batts most here use a 3300Mah or bigger

if you get 2x 2700mah that will theoretically give 5400Mah

on the topic of connecting 2 batts in stead of 1 for future preference, all you have to do is cut the battery cable on the positive and negative, then fit a terminal block, you will need to get 2 plugs (that the battery plugs into) and then put the 2 positive cables to the positive going into the positive side of the terminal block, then do the same on the other side with the negative :D sorry if that didn't make much sense at all, or if you already knew lol :D

cheers,

Matt

Edit Matt can you use a spell checker please Brel
